Hi Sharks-

Our time trials are coming up June 12th. This is a practice meet, not only for our swimmers, but for our volunteers. This meet will run close to a regular meet. Registration is now open for swimmers and volunteers. Please take a few minutes to sign up. We would like all entries in by June 10th.

You will click on the green "Meet Entry" button for the June 12 event. Next you will click on the grey "edit" button. There you will see all your eligible swimmers with a drop down. Please select their availability. For this meet, you will be able to select up to 4 individual events. Swimmers legal in all strokes should swim all four. If you are unsure of your child's ability to swim legally in a stroke, please email me and we will determine what strokes to swim. 

The times at time trials will be used to seed our first Saturday meet. The Saturday meets are competitive and scored and the entries are determined by our coaches and reps. It is important to attend time trials to get best times and give all of us a chance to do a practice run. It is especially important this summer with Covid protocols. 

After registering your swimmer(s), please sign up for a volunteer position. If this is your first year, great jobs are timers, runners, marshals, set up, and take down. Our Shark Shack will not be open for time trials, but going forward that is another great volunteer opportunity. And don't worry, you will get to see your swimmer swim in any volunteer spot! 

Time trials takes more volunteers than a normal meet since we do not have any volunteers from a visiting team. If you need any guidance with selecting a position, let me know and I can help you find a good fit!

Also a few reminders. Please wear your masks while checking in and in the bathroom, remind your swimmers to wear them when moving around the deck until entering the water. Please check in (until we go to mornings) and check out when leaving. 

Lastly, don't forget to purchase a silicone cap if interested. Those will be ordered June 7 in the evening. If you got this far in the email, I really appreciate you!!
