Sharks...

As of right now, I am assuming the role of the Volunteer Coordinator.  Please ensure you send all your volunteer queries to me.  Like last year, it will be I who is filling your inboxes with requests for volunteers.  Did you miss me ;)

As Elaine and I have discussed in the past, it takes a team of selfless, gracious, empathetic, patient, kind, and dedicated adults to build a positive Shark culture and make swim team special for our athletes.  During my multiple Air Force commands across 29 years, my motto was "If you build the culture, performance will follow."  Make no mistake, culture comes before performance.  Elaine and I are looking for determined problem solvers with a positive attitude who ask, "What can I do to make the swim team better?" 

If we have any Sharks who would like to take over the Volunteer Coordinator position on the Shark Leadership Council, please let me know.  It can be more than one person.  If you'd like to grab a friend/friends and split the work, that's great!  You will both/all get the full 10-point credit that comes with being a Coordinator.  And, Volunteer Coordinator can be mostly done remotely. I can walk you through it...
