Pre-Meet Schedule
Warm-ups must be supervised by our marshal and coach/coaches. Lanes 3 and 4 are designated one-way sprint lanes; swimmers enter the pool feet first in the other lanes.
7:15 – Shark Swimmer Showtime (Team Area 2—see attached map)
NOTE: Parking will be in the neighborhood. Good news is that with the first warm-up time, we should be able to park relatively close.
7:30-7:45 - Shark warm-up in Lanes 1-3
NOTE: First Shift Marshal in place for Shark warm-ups
8:00 - Showtime for all first shift volunteers. Officials and Timers meet with the Referees and the Chief Timer
8:10 - Team Rep scratch/substitution meeting with the Meet Manager
8:17 - Clear pool, call first and second events to Clerk of Course
8:25 - National Anthem
8:30 - Start of Meet
Meet Schedule:
There will be a five-minute warm-up between each stroke (ONLY for those swimming in the next stroke). Warm-up lane (#2) will be the same as the team areas.
Stroke Start Times (“No Earlier Than”)
8:30 - Individual Medley
9:15 - Freestyle
9:45 – Backstroke
10:15 - Second-half volunteers showtime.
10:30 – Break. Second half Officials to meet with the Referees. Awarding of Divisional Championship Trophy and Sportsmanship Award.
11:00 - Breaststroke
11:45 – Butterfly
12:30/1:00 – End of Meet
Notes:
- The address is 2634A Black Fir Ct, Reston, VA 20191
- The team areas will be on tennis courts. Please bring chairs for your swimmers. Make sure to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and extra water.
- The Fintastics Cafe menu is attached. They accept cash, paypal, apple pay, and credit cards.
- Swimmer drop-off will be at the top of the driveway. They will have parking attendants present to help.
- Their bathhouse is on the smaller side, so they are going to limit usage to officials/volunteers and swimmers. They have rented 3 porta-potties that are for all spectators.
- For spectators, they have two bleacher sections on the deck as well as sand chair rows next to the pool. Spectators will be welcome in the upper grassy area, and you can bring camp chairs to use there. There are also a bunch of picnic tables outside the concessions by the pavilion.
- They have a lot of neighborhood parking. Please be considerate of residents and do not block driveways, etc. They also have an agreement with the church at the top of the neighborhood, St John Neumans, to park on the right side of their lot (roughly 100 spots).
- They’re offering customized spirit wear. You can follow this link to pre order and FREE SHIPPING WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THURSDAY THE 18TH AT NOON!!! They will also have regular t-shirts and sweatshirts for customization onsite!
